Hainan, located at the southern end of China's territory, is not only an internationally renowned island tourist destination, but also one of the important cities with the attributes of a trading port and a series connection with the Maritime Silk Road.
In 2018, aiming at the prominent issues such as outdated infrastructure and poor cleaning ability of Hainan's power system, Hainan Province jointly with China Datang Group, a large power company ranked among the top 500 in the world, established Datang Wanning Natural Gas Power Generation Co., Ltd., and simultaneously built Datang Wanning's 2× 460,000 kWh natural gas power generation project.
Wanning Natural Gas Power Generation Project is a key project of Hainan Free Trade Port and the 13th Five-Year Plan. Under the background of the tightening of environmental protection policy and the rising of thermal coal’s price, the single peak-shaving mode no longer has the ability to cope with the resource gap, and the development of various energy peak-shaving means is imperative.
The project utilizes the comprehensive utilization mode of natural gas and clean energy, capable of realize the lowest NOx emmission standard of 15mg/m³, and vigorously promotes the application of high-tech with great industry development advantages, such as gas-steam combined cycle unit and power/natural gas double peak adjustment, to Hainan.
In order to meet the special technical conditions and supporting standards, Datang Wanning clearly put forward rigid requirements for the adaptability and past experience of the enterprise when selecting partners. EBICO won the bid in one fell swoop by virtue of its hard work and experience in the power industry and its positioning as an environment-friendly enterprise, provided combustion equipment support for the thermal demand of 21600kW in Datang Wanning.
In line with the principle of minimizing production energy consumption, EBICO selects EC-GR series low-nitrogen burners with a maximum power of 29500kW, leaving enough room for proportional adjustment. Considering the high humidity and fast change natural conditions of the island, EBICO carefully added anti-corrosion technology, intelligent control, flameout protection and safety interlocking combination to make sure our products with excellent performance and long service life.
The latest technology of VIC adapts to the development demand of low nitrogen at the present stage. The technologies such as vector super-mixing and staged flame staggered combustion not only stably control the NOx emission within 30mg, but also greatly reduce the value of carbon emission, thus realizing the original green environmental protection target of EBICO.
At present, Unit 2 of the project has been put into operation smoothly, and the annual power generation is expected to reach about 2.6 billion kWh. The double peak adjustment of electricity and natural gas can put fully use of about 500 million cubic meters of natural gas energy, and solve the problem of power supply for residents in eastern Hainan. Compared with using coal as fuel, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.92 million tons per year, and the nitrogen oxide emissions reach the best level in China.
Wanning natural gas power generation project plays an important role in promoting social and economic development and strengthening the infrastructure construction of "five networks" in Hainan Province. EBICO will serve Hainan power network with outstanding strength, and will continue to work hard to build a high-quality enterprise image of "green, low-carbon, efficient and collaboration".
