Recently, the first phase of Laos oil refining and chemical project on-line commissioning ceremonies were held in Vientiane and Kunming respectively. The 35-ton Anshan boiler equipped with EBICO ultra-low nitrogen burner was used as the core heating equipment of the project to enable the smooth operation of the project. The 3 million tons/year refining and chemical project of Lao Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is located in the Saiseta Comprehensive Development Zone in Vientiane, Laos. It covers an area of 425 acres and plans to invest about 2 billion US dollars to build a modern oil refinery that meets the standards in three phases. It is reported that the comprehensive processing capacity of the first phase of the Lao Petrochemical Project will reach 1 million tons/year. After it is put into operation, it can produce gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, liquefied petroleum gas, industrial sulfur and other products that meet Euro V standards each year, providing Laos with a safe and stable supply of refined oil.
In the context of the “Belt and Road”, this project has become a brand new milestone in China-Laos cooperation. The completion of the project will effectively fill the gap in Laos’s petrochemical industry and reverse the situation where its refined oil can only rely on imports. It will play an important role in the development of Laos’ industry and the construction of a chemical system.
The target boiler of the project is 35T, with fuel gas (in gaseous state) produced by the refinery and vehicle diesel (V) as the main fuel. The user requires that the supporting burner must be able to burn 100% of a single fuel, or 100% of another fuel. At the same time, it meets the requirements of users for mixed combustion, but the fuel load during mixed combustion is not less than 20% of the boiler load, and the gas load is not less than 15% of the boiler load. In other words, the burner needs to be able to achieve single-burning oil, single-burning gas, fixed oil and gas mixed combustion, and fixed gas and oil mixed burning, the 4 kinds of mode, on the basis of ensuring extremely high combustion efficiency and strong combustion stability. Undoubtedly, this requires very high requirements for the matching burner.
According to the actual working conditions of the project, EBICO adapted it to 2 EBICO EC12GGQR series split burners, 6-120 t boiler, power 5580-33500KW, and used electronic proportional adjustment.
Under the gloom of the epidemic, EBICO’s professional technical team still adhered to the overseas first-line debugging site, provided Laos with 51-day on-site technical support from October 13th to December 2nd, and tracked and controlled online monitoring data on the spot. To ensure the smooth commissioning of the project, EBICO will provide technical guidance services for the project at any time.
