With this way to detect the flame has a major drawback, there are many substances burning without smoke (such as natural gas, ethanol, methanol, etc.), and the detection distance is short, the sensor must be at the location of the thickest smoke, visible when the flame occurs to the smoke is dense, and then the alarm, in some occasions may be too late.

 

2.Heat release infrared flame detector, direct detection of the flame wavelength of 4.35 ± 0.15μm infrared spectrum, the detection target is relatively clear, it consists of heat release probe and amplifier, the shortcomings are: this type of sensor has a piezoelectric, sound electromagnetic waves and vibration are very sensitive, so the use of the place is somewhat limited, its detection distance is less than 80m.

3.Conventional UV flame detector, direct detection of the flame in the UV spectrum of 180-260nm, the detection of the target is also very clear, the response rate is also relatively fast. It consists of ultraviolet photosensitive probe and amplifier, the shortcomings are: poor sensitivity, detection distance of less than 15m, can not resist the interference of lightning, there is a certain rate of false alarms, so it can only be used in a short distance of the closed environment, such as heating furnace, industrial boilers and other places.
