In the first half of 2021, EBICO (China) Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. has recruited many new members for its headquarter and branches in order to meet the real needs of the company's development. In order to help the new members to integrate into our family and to improve the communication efficiency between the headquarter and the local branches, we organized a group building activity at the Cowboy Resort in Suzhou on the shore of Taihu Lake on the tail end of May Day holiday.

At about 9:00 a.m., the EBICO bus slowly drove into the resort, and the colorful trip officially started. According to the instruction and assignment of the instructor, all members were randomly assigned into 4 teams and the captains of each team were elected and recommended. Probably because they belonged to different positions, everyone seemed a bit restrained and lacked communication in the decision-making process of the squad flag and declaration. However, after just a few minutes, everyone got acquainted with each other and after a lively discussion, an exclusive appearance formation was also designed.

First of all, everyone welcomed the challenge of bamboo pole dance. After carefully watching the demonstration of the instructor, each team basically mastered the action, and after receiving the bamboo pole, gloves and other materials, each began to train hard. The bamboo pole dance requires all team members to divide and cooperate, and the bamboo pole group and the dance group work together tacitly, which tests the collaboration and execution of a team. After continuous attempts, everyone found their own position in the team, or hold the bamboo pole, or dance, although sweat beads on the forehead, but proudly crossed the bamboo pole dance level.

After a morning of expansion, we finally came to the mealtime, and what we saw were a few earthen stoves and fresh chicken, duck and fish. The women of the team, who are "good in the hall and good in the kitchen", picked up the kitchen knives and started the delicate processing of the ingredients; the men took the initiative to take up the burden of adding wood and burning the fire. Other members of the team also took action, contributing to the team by getting the spices and preparing the dishes. In an hour's time, a steaming meal was ready. The team members ate the dishes they had participated in, with smiles on their faces and their hearts getting closer and closer to each other.

After a full meal, everyone simply repaired and quickly launched an attack on the next level - dryland curling. The rules of dryland curling are roughly the same as those of curling, testing the reasonable configuration and decision-making power of the team, adjusting the strategy according to the changes of the situation, and independently grasping the timing of attacking, defending, taking up points and grabbing points. With the belief of "making the curler of your side closer to the center of the circle", everyone focused on the role of the curler in their hands to ensure the team's victory. Probably because of their eagerness to build up their careers, the team members were not lacking in "undercover" acts, which brought a different kind of laughter to everyone while stabilizing the winning momentum for the opposite team.

Putting on the slightly heavy protective gear and picking up unfamiliar bows and arrows, everyone ushered in the ultimate test of physical strength and endurance - attack and defense arrows. The two teams occupied the two ends of the field respectively and used bows and arrows to fight against each other. They occupied the favorable terrain and transformed into brave warriors, sending their opponents out of the game with a single arrow. The sun was shining and soon both teams were on the verge of physical exhaustion, but they did not give up and persevered in the high temperature until the moment the confrontation ended.

In order to deepen the understanding of the corporate culture and strengthen the cohesion among the members, all members had to work together to complete the collective task of "painting the blueprint". We all worked together, mixing, filling and washing colors, and soon a vivid watercolor painting was completed. Everyone left their colorful palm prints on the canvas and engraved this unique memory in their hearts.

As the sun set, everyone slowly embarked on the way back with their tired bodies. A day of group building and expansion, whether it is fresh blood or veterans, we all have a more profound experience of team work, collaboration, communication and mutual assistance. The team members were able to sharpen their wills and return to their jobs and continue to shine in their positions.
