China is a big agricultural country with abundant biomass resources. Every year, crops alone produce as much as 600 million tons of straw, of which as much as 400 million tons can be reused as resources.

About the project
China Energy Conservation (Yantai) Biomass Thermoelectricity Co., Ltd. Is a national owned company that affiliated to China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group. It is also the first cogeneration enterprise in Qixia City that uses straw, husk, branches and other agricultural and forestry solid wastes to generate electricity directly and provide central heating.
The heating range covers the whole main city area, coupled with the goal of full coverage of heating in Qixia city, the task of this round of heating season is tough. With the support of the government, China Energy Conservation (Yantai) started a new gas system for collaborative heating to ensure that the thermal output reaches the standard and the supply is stable in full.
Low emission and abundant supply
After analyzing the customer's production needs and produce environment, EBICO selected two EC-GR series fully automatic ultra-low NOx combustion equipment as the core power source of the gas system for this Yantai project.
The output of the equipment could reach 100.4MW, which fully meets the customer's 91MW heat demand. To fit the difference of combustion space, the flame shape of EBICO’s low nitrogen series can be adjusted under the condition of fixed power, to avoid equipment damage.
In addition, the equipment adopts electronic comparison system to coordinate the air/gas ratio, and the combustion efficiency after adjustment is nearly 100%.
Through internal reflux, multistage and segmented oxygen distribution, D-type circulation technology and tangential jet technology, EBICO can control NOx emission within 30mg, eliminate CO pollution and save production costs, and the operating environment is low noise, low energy consumption and stable.
The heating season of 2022-2023 is coming to an end after Chinese Lunar New Year. According to customer’s feedback, the burner system has performed well since its operation. The water supply temperature is 50.5℃, the backwater temperature is 39.8℃, and the room temperature is above 18℃, which meets the heating needs of residents.
Thanks to the joint efforts of both parties, China Energy Conservation (Yantai) provides clean heating for the area of 2,268,600 square meters this year, covers over 23,000 households, which effectively fills the gap in Qixia's urban central heating.
