Product Introduction
The EC-GNQR is an oil/gas dual-fuel low-NOx burner series developed for industrial boilers that require more than one available fuel source. It combines separate gas and liquid-fuel supply paths with electronic air-fuel ratio control, allowing the combustion system to operate with the selected approved fuel.
The series covers models EC4GNQR through EC20GNQR. The published selection table lists output capacities from 3,900 to 86,000 kW for boiler classes ranging from 4/5 to 120 t/h.
Standard dual-fuel configurations can be engineered around natural gas with light oil or natural gas with heavy oil. Selected industrial gases can also be evaluated according to their composition, heating value, pressure, contaminants, and required burner output.
The boiler burner must be selected as part of the complete boiler combustion system. Boiler load, furnace geometry, combustion-chamber pressure, fuel properties, emission limits, control philosophy, and site conditions all affect the final configuration.
Working Principle
The EC-GNQR burner operates using an electronic proportional combustion control system. During operation, the controller continuously monitors boiler load and synchronizes the air supply with the selected fuel input.
Gas or oil enters the combustion chamber through independent fuel channels and mixes with precisely regulated airflow. Multi-stage flame stabilization structures ensure uniform heat release and stable ignition. This control logic enables high combustion efficiency while simultaneously suppressing NOx formation during the entire operating cycle.
The EC-GNQR can be matched to compatible fire-tube or water-tube steam boilers used for industrial steam generation.
Applications may include:
Food and beverage production
Textile processing
Paper manufacturing
Chemical processing
Pharmaceutical production
Building-material manufacturing
Central utility plants
Industrial laundries
Steam pressure, load variation, and production schedule should be included in the burner selection.
Dual-fuel operation can support industrial or district hot-water systems where fuel availability or seasonal demand changes.
The burner control should be coordinated with water temperature, flow, boiler staging, and system load.
The series can also be evaluated for compatible thermal-oil heaters and industrial heating systems. Heat-exchanger design, furnace resistance, operating temperature, and process-control requirements must be reviewed separately.
Facilities operating long production cycles should define:
Annual operating hours
Normal load profile
Peak-load duration
Fuel-switching frequency
Planned maintenance windows
Standby requirements
Permitted shutdown time
These conditions affect burner sizing, control redundancy, spare-parts planning, and service arrangements.
