Product Introduction
The FIDA Compact 8/30PM ignition transformer converts a 230 V supply into an 8 kV high-voltage output for spark ignition in compatible industrial burner systems. Its compact, potted construction supports space-conscious installation and helps protect internal components from moisture. Designed for intermittent ignition duty, it is suitable for burner servicing, replacement, and system integration after electrical and mechanical compatibility have been verified.
A burner needs a controlled electrical spark to begin the ignition sequence. The FIDA Compact 8/30PM raises the incoming voltage to the level required to produce that spark across the ignition electrode gap.
With a rated secondary output of 1 × 8 kV and 30 mA, the transformer is intended for compatible burner ignition circuits operating on a 230 V, 50 Hz supply. It can be used when replacing an existing unit with matching electrical ratings, duty cycle, terminal arrangement, and mounting requirements.
The transformer initiates ignition; it does not regulate fuel flow, monitor the flame, or replace the burner control and safety system.
Safety, Energy saving, ECO, Intelligence
FIDA 8/ 3opm ignition transformer is a device that can provide enough energy to ignite pulverized coal, oil (gas) fuel and stabilize the flame in a moment. Through the ignition transformer, the high voltage is trans-formed from the low voltage, and the discharge spark is generated in the small gap, thus playing the role of ignition.

Application
The FIDA Compact 8/30PM is intended for high-voltage spark generation in compatible burner systems. Typical uses include:
Industrial gas burners
Industrial oil burners
Commercial boiler burners
Process heating equipment
Hot-air generators
Thermal equipment using automatic burner controls
Burner maintenance and replacement projects
Application suitability depends on more than the fuel type. Input voltage, frequency, output configuration, duty cycle, electrode gap, cable condition, mounting dimensions, and burner control sequence must all be compatible.
Model numbers alone should not be used to confirm interchangeability. Before ordering the FIDA 8/30PM, compare the replacement unit with the existing transformer and burner documentation.
Confirm a 230 V AC, 50 Hz power supply.
Verify the required output is 1 × 8 kV at 30 mA.
Confirm the burner permits a 25% duty cycle over three minutes.
Compare the high-voltage output configuration.
Check mounting-hole positions and available installation space.
Inspect the mains and ignition cable connections.
Confirm the electrode type, gap, and grounding arrangement.
Match the transformer to the burner controller’s ignition timing.
If any rating or connection differs, request a compatibility review before installation.
The designation identifies the model’s electrical configuration. For this unit, the rated secondary output is 1 × 8 kV at 30 mA. The “PM” suffix belongs to the FIDA model designation and should be matched exactly when sourcing a replacement.
No. Its rated duty cycle is 25% over a three-minute period. The burner controller must limit the ignition-on time accordingly.
A standard multimeter can help check the incoming supply and some circuit conditions, but it is not suitable for directly measuring the 8 kV secondary output. High-voltage testing requires appropriate equipment and trained personnel.
Cable inclusion can vary by supply configuration. Confirm the package contents before ordering. Any reused or separately purchased ignition cable must have the correct connector and high-voltage insulation rating.
Only when the electrical ratings, duty cycle, output arrangement, connections, mounting dimensions, and burner requirements all match. Similar-looking FIDA Compact models can have different output voltages, currents, or duty cycles.
Provide the burner brand and model, a clear photo of the existing transformer label, supply voltage and frequency, required secondary output, connector details, mounting dimensions, and photos of the wiring and ignition electrode arrangement.
It may help only when the instability is caused by poor or intermittent ignition. Flame instability after successful ignition can also result from fuel pressure, airflow, burner adjustment, flame detection, or control faults and requires a complete burner inspection.
