Kolonalo is located on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It is the 11th largest island in the world, with a population of over 20 million. However, it has a large proportion of mountainous areas, resulting in scarce per capita disposable resources. Currently, the only existing oil-fired power station is unable to meet the increasing electricity demand of the power grid, and the problem of power shortage has become a bottleneck hindering economic development.
The project adopts the EBICO ES900M light oil burner, which uses simple mechanical atomization nozzles and high-energy ignition methods. The combustion efficiency reaches 99.9%. The integrated application of the programmable ignition system and the flameout protection device ensures the safety of the operators. Different from the conventional conditions, the Colombo Lolo project is close to the ocean, with high air humidity and high salt content. This means that the entire equipment will be in a humid and salty salt fog environment for a long time. The EBICO‘ technical team adapted to the local conditions and placed more emphasis on the corrosion resistance in the selection of burner materials, fans, and motors.
