Kashi International Airport is located in Kashi Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is a 4E-class military-civilian joint-use international airport, a regional aviation hub in Xinjiang, and a first-class national open-air port and designated entry-point for imported fruits. The terminal building covers an area of 23,800 square meters, the runway is 3,200 meters long and 45 meters wide. In 2019, the passenger throughput exceeded 2.4 million, ranking 66th in the country.

This airport was built in 1953 and was upgraded to an international airport after its third expansion in 2006. As one of the earliest batch of airports constructed in China, the hardware facilities inside the airport have experienced a certain degree of deterioration, including the aging of the boiler's associated burners.

After the cooperation was achieved, the EBICO technical team, based on the actual needs of Kashgar International Airport, formulated a targeted burner replacement plan. This project adopted the EC6GR natural gas low-nitrogen burner, which not only ensured the energy supply efficiency but also successfully reduced the nitrogen oxide emission data below the domestic standard line, accelerating the green transformation of Kashgar International Airport.
